Thank you to the WOH4H Volunteers for
finally completing the roof sheeting last Saturday. Orange County
has completed a partial inspection and appoved the work done to
date. Wednesday, March 24th, the volunteers will be installing the
drip edge and the roof felt to dry in the roof. We expect to
install the house wrap on Saturday, March 27th and possibly strat
installing the windows. Come join us in building another Habitat
house.
The present WOH4H building site is at 721 Pine
St. in WinterGarden. It is 1 block west of the Vo-Tech on Story Road
and 1 block north of Story Road. . We work on Wednesdays &
Saturdays. Start at 0830 and stop at 1430.
We have hammers and saws etc. However, if you have your own
tools that you are comfortable with, you may want to bring them.
Put your name on them if you do. Most of the Habitat regulars
bring their own hammers, pry bars, tape measures and nail
aprons. However, Habitat has a supply of all these things for
the volunteers.
WOH4H still needs a volunteer to assist the building
crew Project Manager, Jesse Green, in obtaining the best prices
for building materials and coordinate ordering the building
materials for each stage of the house construction.
Thanks for your help!
